College Choices: Food For Thought
By: Mikayla Mckernan
As high school students, one of the most stressful things we have to worry about is where to go after our high school career ends. College is the next logical step for many people. It is one of the biggest decisions we make as semi-adults. It also relies on your own merits rather than where our parents want us to go. Not only do we have to pick a college, we have to pick what we want to study, choose a major, and all this other stuff that makes life complicated. Your major will reflect which career you want to pursue, and some colleges are more respected in the work force for certain fields of study. Although local institutes such as Duquesne University and University of Pittsburgh are well rounded academically, a more specialized college might be for you, such as one far from home or maybe even an Ivy League school.
