The Grammys by Ellen DiMartini, 2013
On Sunday, February 12 we had The 54th Annual Grammys Awards. The Grammys recognizes the talents in the music industry. With booming talent in the industry it is always difficult to predict the winners, but this year almost everyone knew who would take home some much-deserved awards. Adele took home six awards that night, one of the most ever given out to one person in one year. The Grammys were also dedicated to the late Whitney Houston. In her honor, Jennifer Hudson sang a wonderful rendition of her song “I Will Always Love You.” The performances were mostly good and enjoyable, with a few bizarre ones. The awards were not as shocking this year, but there were still a few surprises of the night. Overall the night was pleasant and as enjoyable as a three-hour award show can be.
Here is a list of a few of the lucky winners from the night. For a full list of nominees and winners go to: http://www.grammy.com/nominees.
